Welcome to the 2023/2024 season of Newbridge Hockey Club.

 

We are looking forward to another great year in the club with this year's committee featuring some new faces. This mixture of experience and enthusiasm will ensure that this year is a fantastic one in Newbridge. It is down to the hard work of our volunteers that the club runs so smoothly.

 

As always the players, both junior and senior, are at the heart of the club.  We currently have are developing a Senior Ladies team and an Under 18's, and have a very vibrant junior section of over 200 children ranging from u8 – u16s. The passion that radiates from each player when they put on their Newbridge colours is infectious. It is a testament to the coaches that the future of hockey in Newbridge is very bright.

Our club welcomes with open arms new members regardless of ability. Get in touch with us if you or your kids want to be involved and to join the fantastic Newbridge Hockey Club community.

Club Vision

​

Newbridge Hockey Club's long term vision is to bring high-level hockey to Newbridge, firstly through its own club (improving underage hockey whilst exploiting the talent in the club through involvement at Leinster, Irish and Interpro Level) and secondly while providing facilities for Irish and Interprovincial training and competitions. The spread of hockey is very much dependent on premier games for viewing and attracting young players.

• To encourage and develop the game of hockey

• To promote the game of hockey

• To provide and service hockey programs to the local and adjoining communities

• To make hockey an accessible competitive or recreational option for all persons regardless of gender, age, race or religion

• To foster a lifelong approach to team sports in the area

• To affiliate with the Leinster Hockey Association and it's parent body Hockey Ireland and to take part in league and cup games as assigned by both organisations
